Guided Support for the Journey Back to Yourself
I’m Isabel Prystawik (she/her), a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) and founder of Motionally Counselling and Facilitation.
After decades of personal exploration, somatic training, and hard-won growth, I’ve come to believe that lasting change doesn’t come from “fixing what’s wrong”, it comes from slowing down, getting curious, and reconnecting with the parts of yourself that were never broken in the first place.
I offer something a little different from your average talk therapy.
I work with people—mostly women—who’ve done therapy before. They’ve done the reading, filled out the worksheets, tried to reframe their thoughts. On paper, everything looks fine. But underneath, they’re still carrying the weight of patterns that no longer serve them.
They feel exhausted, overwhelmed, and quietly wonder:
Did I fail at healing?
The truth? You didn’t fail. The old models did.
At Motionally, I offer consent-based trauma-informed counselling, somatic support, and anti-oppressive facilitation rooted in curiosity, body-awareness, and creative reconnection. Together, we explore how protective strategies—once essential for survival—can be gently re-examined, honoured, and released.
You’re not broken. You don’t need to be “treated.” You need space. A felt sense of safety. A new way to relate to yourself. That’s what we build together.
Here’s what a past client has to say:
“Isabel has built a wealth of knowledge on the human condition and uses that in the most loving way in her practice. I appreciate her healing voice, her knowledge-based teachings, her extraordinary intuition and the positive results I have experienced. “
Why Choose Isabel for Somatic Therapy and Counselling
There are a lot of therapists out there. Somatic therapy is trending. But Motionally isn’t a trend, it’s a practice grounded in decades of personal and professional work. I’ve been studying somatic movement practices for over 20 years, long before it was a buzzword.
I’m also a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC), a designation that reflects high standards of training, ethics, and ongoing professional development. But what truly sets this work apart is how I show up: present, playful, deeply human, and fully committed to your process.
I’m not here to sell you a fix or a hack.
I’m here to help you listen to yourself, your body, and your truth.
Clients say our work helps them show up with more ease, clarity, and connection. It’s not always easy. But it’s always real. And that’s where transformation begins.

Core Values That Guide My Counselling Approach
1. You are already whole.
2. Healing doesn’t have to mean going back. It means reconnecting to your power now.
3. Play, creativity, and curiosity are foundational to long-term wellbeing.
4. The relationship you build with yourself shapes every other part of your life.
5. Reconnection is political. The personal and collective are always intertwined.

The Meaning Behind Motionally Counselling
I named this practice Motionally because movement—emotional, physical, energetic—is central to what I do. To be in motion is to be alive.
I don’t call myself a healer. I’m a skilled companion. A facilitator. Someone who offers a grounded, respectful, and playful space for you to rediscover your needs, your values, your joy.
Whether you’re looking for counselling in Vernon, virtual therapy across British Columbia, or hope to one day join a Lioness School retreat, my aim is the same: to offer a space where you can slow down, look around, and re-member all of you.
If you’ve made it this far, maybe something in you is stirring
A quiet pull toward something gentler, truer, more whole.
You don’t have to have the right words. You don’t need to know where to begin.
You just need to begin.
